Overview

The new PWR FL5 Civic Type R Intercooler has been completely redesigned around a larger 116mm-thick tube-and-fin core to improve cooling performance, reduce pressure drop, and provide greater power headroom. Utilizing internally turbulated tubes, the new core offers significantly more charge-air flow area than the previous lightweight bar-and-plate design. Integrated ducting helps control airflow through the intercooler and maintain airflow to the radiator, making the system better suited for sustained track use. The result is improved intake air temperature control, lower restriction, and greater cooling capacity as power and airflow demands increase.
